NatWest’s regional accelerator director to speak at upcoming Quarterly Business Report launch
The regional accelerator director for NatWest across the Midlands, South West and Wales has been announced as the first speaker for the Quarterly Business Report briefing event, organised by Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC).
Pam Sheemar (pictured) who leads NatWest’s entrepreneurship delivery team will speak at the event on 22 October at Birmingham City University.
With over 20 years of experience in banking and financial services, Pam has held a range of senior leadership roles, including director for Commercial Banking, where she led customer-facing teams supporting businesses with turnovers ranging from £2 million to £40 million.
She has also worked extensively as a business mentor and coach, helping entrepreneurs navigate challenges and achieve sustainable growth.
Pam has significant expertise in entrepreneurship and business development, having led NatWest’s longest-standing Accelerator programme.
Throughout her career, she has coached and mentored hundreds of start-ups and scale-ups, helping them remove barriers, unlock opportunities and accelerate growth.
Outside of her professional role, Pam serves as a Magistrate on the Crime Bench in the Black Country region. She is also an Advisory Board Member for various University’s across the Midlands, contributing her expertise to support the development of future next generation business leaders and entrepreneurs.
As the GBCC flagship economic publication, the Quarterly Business Report is the most comprehensive regular report of its kind in the city-region.
Underpinning the report is data gathered from quarterly surveys completed by businesses from across the Greater Birmingham area.
The Quarterly Business Report event is delivered in partnership with Chamber patron Birmingham City University.
Delegates in attendance will have the opportunity to receive a copy of the report and watch a detailed presentation of the results and wider trends, followed by an expert panel discussion on investments trends.
GBCC head of policy Emily Stubbs, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Pam Sheemar as the first speaker for the launch of our latest Quarterly Business Report.
“Her extensive experience supporting businesses at different stages of their growth, combined with her insight into the challenges and opportunities facing entrepreneurs, will add valuable context to the findings of this quarter’s report.
“The Quarterly Business Report provides an important snapshot of business confidence and conditions across our region, but the numbers only tell part of the story.
“Bringing together the data with perspectives from experienced business leaders allows us to explore what these trends mean in practice and how businesses are responding to the changing economic landscape.
“We look forward to sharing the latest findings with our members and guests and hearing from Pam and our wider panel on the investment trends that will shape the region’s growth.”
