Tudor Grange Leisure Centre 's astro pitch is closing from 7 March for a complete refurbishment.

It is anticipated that the work will be completed by mid-July - but regular users of the pitch have already been notified so that they have time to find alternative pitches during the closure.

Tudor Grange Leisure Centre - including outdoor sports areas - is run by Everyone Active in partnership with Solihull Council. The work will include a completely new pitch, new LED lights, new goals and equipment and new security fencing.

Deputy Leader for Solihull Council and Cabinet Member for Leisure and Tourism, Cllr Karen Grinsell (pictured), said: “The pitch was constructed 25 years ago and then redeveloped in 2009. It has therefore come to the end of its life and needs a complete refurbishment. Scheduled to finish mid-July it will be ready for use in the summer when I hope we are all feeling inspired to be active after welcoming Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games to the region. ”
