New hire tasked with growing Virgin Money 's customer base

Virgin Money has expanded its team in Birmingham with the appointment of a growth manager, tasked with growing the customer base and connecting with people in and around the city.

Amy Jacklin (pictured), 24, has been a banking advisor in the Coventry store for almost four years and has taken an active role in its community engagement programme.

This has included organising charity events, partnering with organisations and promoting Virgin Money 's Make £5 Grow initiative, which gives schoolchildren an opportunity to explore their entrepreneurial spirit.

Amy said: “The growth manager role really suits my personality. I 'm passionate about community spirit and being engaged with the people and organisations.

“Everyone has spent the last year so far away from each other so there is a real opportunity to have a positive impact in the city and engage with our customers again. I 'm excited to start making connections, build a network and also put our store to good use.

“We have a beautiful space that provides customers with a relaxed, friendly place to do to their banking, we also have a coworking space and we will be hosting events and workshops in the future, once its safe to do so. We will also be doing more instore events to support Macmillan Cancer Support, who are Virgin Money 's Charity of the Year.

“Birmingham is such a vibrant city and there is so much to look forward to now we are hopefully coming out the other side of the pandemic. ”

“We 've worked really hard to serve our customers the best we can over the last year. As we come out of lockdown and with Amy joining us, it feels like a milestone moment for the store and we are excited for what lies ahead as we support our customers, old and new. ”
