New president to be elected at Burton Chamber AGM

A new president will be elected to the Burton and District Chamber of Commerce at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM), marking a pivotal moment in its organisational journey.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday, 15 May at the Pirelli Stadium, with the participation of Chamber members and guests followed by a networking lunch.

Outgoing president Shaun Gray, European managing director at Ginho Group will pass the baton to a new president who will be announced during the AGM.

Burton and District Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to fostering economic growth and prosperity in the local community.

Through advocacy, networking, and business support services, the Chamber empowers businesses to thrive and contributes to the overall vitality of the region.

Head of Burton & District Chamber of Commerce Richard Brooks (pictured) said: “With the transition to a new presidency, the Chamber extends its gratitude to outgoing President Shaun Gray for his unwavering dedication and remarkable contributions to the local business landscape throughout his tenure.

“Under Shaun’s leadership, the Chamber has been rebuilt, embodying the spirit of collaboration, communication and progress.

“His commitment to fostering a robust business environment has been inspirational, and has won business awards for his business leadership and international trade endeavours. He is going on to develop engagement with our Global Chamber of Commerce Division, thank you Shaun.

"While change is on the horizon, our commitment to serving the needs of our members and advancing the interests of local businesses remains steadfast.

"We are immensely grateful to Shaun Gray for his leadership and look forward to building upon his legacy as continue to unite a single business voice for Burton and District.

“Unfortunately there may be one or two hard-working executive committee members stepping back this year, after some amazing years of dedicated service, this will be announced at the AGM, however I will be contacting these members personally beforehand to thank them for their work."
