Local management development consultancy Professional Development Training has launched an exciting new series of open workshops, with places available to businesses across the region.

The workshops are designed to help managers, supervisors and team leaders fine tune their people management skills for 21st century leadership.

The workshops, which will be held in central Birmingham, are delivered in half day sessions starting from 30 May.

The first four workshop topics will be ‘So you want to be a manager?’; ‘Connections that count, influencing with purpose’; ‘Managing yourself and your emotions at work’ and ‘Bouncebackability – Building resilience at work’.

The workshops have been designed for a wide range of leaders – from those aspiring to become manager to experienced supervisors; from newly appointed team leaders to longer term people managers.

Professional Development Training director Marie Hannan-Meads (pictured) said: “It’s important for people managers to keep their leadership skills up to date.

“We live in an ever changing, fast-paced business environment and managers need to occasionally step off the hamster wheel and review how they’re doing

“As a manager are you in tune with what employees expect from leaders today? If not, you risk losing valuable members of staff to other organisations. People don’t tend to leave organisations. They leave managers.”

No matter how large or small the team you are leading, the workshops will provide an opportunity to explore and refresh your people management skills, talk through workplace challenges and share successful solutions and techniques with others in similar roles.

The workshops will be delivered by PDT’s team of highly experienced trainers and management coaches and will be held at the Studio Conference Centre in Birmingham City Centre.
