New team boosts firm 's plans to make good
Leamington-based software company Make Good Grow has announced the appointment of a new team that will lead the firm forward in connecting people with good causes across the region.
Make Good Grow was set up in September 2020 and has already made a significant impact with charities and good causes across Warwickshire.
Based at 1 Mill Street, Make Good Grow matches individuals and businesses wanting to share their organisational and individual skills with good causes in the region through specific projects.
In return, businesses receive a social impact report detailing the company 's social responsibility and individuals grow their experience, share their talents and build their CV.
Rob Langley-Swain (pictured) will take the helm as managing director for the online platform that connects skilled volunteers with local good causes that need help.
He will steer the company to achieve its ambitious growth plans, which include a nationwide rollout of the platform.
Rob brings with him more than 15 years of working in the commercial and charity sector, where he specialised in marketing and membership.
He joins Make Good Grow from the UK wide charity, Adoption UK, where he was director of membership - more than doubling their membership in just two years.
He said: “I am delighted to be heading up Make Good Grow, with a new team by my side. We are just getting started, but have some much energy and passion to expand our reach and impact in the coming years.
“We have already had a huge uptake from volunteers from the region getting involved and supporting good causes and we 're on a mission to get as many people involved as we can.
“We call our volunteers Passioneers, they are people that want to use their skills to make a huge difference to causes that matter.
“The good causes we support include registered charities and community groups (like schools, community centres and churches) and with more than 125 already signed up, we 're keen to reach many more.
“Businesses across the region, who are looking to increase their social responsibility and social impact are starting to work with us, as we provide the perfect platform to empower their workforce and engage them with meaningful volunteering opportunities. ”
Joining Rob on the Make Good Grow team is Charlotte Kissack as head of marketing and community engagement and Connor Wilson as technical product manager.
Charlotte has over 20 years ' experience of working in PR, digital, marketing and communications and previously held positions at Adoption UK and the University of Warwick after running her own successful PR company up in the Highlands of Scotland.
Connor joins the team from 1 Mill Street where he was operations manager. Having previously worked for a number of eCommerce brands and having founded an ethical homewares website, Connor is passionate about customer experience.
Founder of Make Good Grow, Nigel Shanahan, said: “Since starting Make Good Grow, we have seen our business grow steadily thanks to enthusiastic and generous individuals coming forward to match their skills with good causes in need across the region.
“I am really looking forward to seeing the new team build on this success, extending our ethos beyond the locality and making an even bigger impact for good causes in the UK. ”
