Nick Drake tribute comes to Lichfield’s The Hub at St Mary’s
Singer-guitarist Keith James will bring the music of Nick Drake to The Hub at St Mary's in Lichfield on Saturday, 12 September at 8pm.
Drake, whose three albums recorded between 1969 and 1972 remain widely revered, was largely unknown during his lifetime and died in 1974 aged 26. His work has since seen a major resurgence in interest.
Keith James was the first artist to bring Drake's songs to theatres and arts venues across the UK, and remains the foremost performer of his music in its pure acoustic form.
Over the past 20 years, James has performed more than 1,000 concerts across the UK, Ireland, Holland, France, Italy and Spain, including at Glastonbury Festival and Drake's former schools and colleges.
He will be joined by Richie Cottrell on flutes and harmony vocals.
The Hub's creative director, Anthony Evans, said: "The Hub's intimate setting and fabulous acoustic are perfectly matched to Nick Drake's atmospheric music. Don't miss out - book your tickets while you can. It's going to be a great gig!"
Tickets cost £19.50 and are available online or in person from the venue.
