Nineteen promoted in law firm’s Birmingham office

A law firm has announced 19 new promotions at its Birmingham headquarters.

Gateley legal has appointed Jamie Gillespie (corporate), Thea Maertens (commercial dispute resolution) and Richard Tindall (real estate).

In addition, real estate lawyers Nicki Rushmer and Eliza Summerfield have both been promoted to legal director, alongside Joanne Duck (employment), Ed Locock (CDR) and Charlotte Hickman (residential development).

Elsewhere, Sarbjit Pooni (residential development) and Joshua Saxton (real estate) make the step up to senior associate.

There have also been six promotions to associate level, including residential development lawyers Sophie Newby and Caryn Donn, as well as Zhuo Li (corporate), Holly Caulwell (regulatory), David Harris (restructuring) and Zara Hussain (real estate).

A trio of promotions have also been announced across Gateley’s specialist property and construction consultancy business, with Gateley Hamer promoting Liam Heeley to land consultant and Quiana Higgins to senior surveyor, while Gateley Vinden has promoted Hannah Kirkwood to senior chartered surveyor.

Meanwhile, the firm has also confirmed that corporate partner Max Moore has been appointed as its new office head in Birmingham.

Max will oversee an office which employs more than 500 professionals in the city and offers wide-ranging expertise across Gateley’s key platforms.

He has a broad range of experience with a particular focus on the hotels, operational real estate, infrastructure, facilities management and housebuilder sectors.

These promotions are part of 69 announced by Gateley across the UK and Dubai, including 11 made up to partner.
