Nominations open for Asian Business Chamber committee
The Asian Business Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) - part of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC) - is urging members to put themselves forward to be a part of the Chamber's Executive Committee.
Those who wish to stand for selection must belong to a business which is a member of the ABCC.
Nominees are required to fill out an application form and will then be invited to an interview.
The panel will feature GBCC CEO Henrietta Brealey, President Deb Leary, ABCC Co-Presidents Amina Hussain and Omar Rashid and former GBCC president Bridget Blow.
The Chamber will announce the successful candidates at the organisation's next Annual General Meeting, taking place on 15 March at 11am.
Amina Hussain and Omar Rashid said: “ABCC has been in existence for 35 years and has provided a platform for many Asian and non-Asian businesses to connect, network and grow.
“We are looking for individuals who are passionate about the Asian Business Community and welcome those who want to make a positive impact and have the drive to make their contribution to bring together a stronger business community in the region.
“Being an executive committee board member gives you great recognition amongst the business community nationally. The vision we have for the ABCC in 2023 is to build and grow our network and enhance the value for our members.
“This is only possible with a motivated and committed executive board. If you have the drive, time and determination to be part of a board that will continue to make a positive impact and open new doors and opportunities for its members and the wider Asian community, then we encourage you to apply. ”
Nominees can download and fill out the application form here.
Nomination forms must be emailed to [email protected] by 12pm on Tuesday, 31st January.
