Business leaders are being urged to nominate themselves to serve on Burton Chamber's executive committee.

Nominations are now open to join the committee, and close on 30 April.

The successful committee members will serve on the council for a two-year term, and will help the Chamber's president and vice-president promote the Chamber and act on behalf of businesses.

Council members are required to attend monthly meetings and networking events hosted by the Chamber.

New committee members will be confirmed during the Chamber's annual general meeting, taking place on 18 May from 11.30am.

Non-members and members of the Chamber can attend.

Chris Plant, divisional director of the Chamber, said: "Committee members play a vital role in the Chamber's activities, and are crucial on setting the our direction for how we support members.

"I would urge any business leader, regardless of sector or size, that has an interest to apply."
