Nominations are now being accepted for the High Sheriff’s 2024 awards – recognising the work of individuals or community groups who are making an impact across the West Midlands.

Current High Sheriff of the West Midlands, Doug Wright, will hand out the awards to those who have made outstanding contributions to the communities in which they live or work.

In particular, the awards recognise those whose effort might not have otherwise attracted wider attention or appreciation.

Nominations are now being invited for the 2024 awards.

Nominations can be made by and for anyone who lives or works in the West Midlands, whether in the public, voluntary and charitable or private sectors.

Mr Wright (pictured) said: “The High Sheriff Award nominations are now open.

“I look forward to recognising exceptional people and organisations across the West Midlands whose work is making a real difference in their community.

“In my first few months I have been so very impressed by the dedication and quality of so many volunteers working tirelessly for the betterment of others.”

All nominations will be treated in the strictest confidence.

Nominations are being accepted until 31 October, 2024 – find out more information.
