Old IT equipment being sought to help others

Businesses with old laptops and tablets are being urged to donate to a new IT recycling campaign.

Doing Our Bit has teamed up with the Community Foundation for Staffordshire to provide recycled IT equipment to people who need it most.

The duo have established eight drop-off points in Burton, Cannock, Lichfield, Tamworth and elsewhere across Staffordshire, for old equipment to be deposited.

Laptops, tablets, keyboards and mice are being sought by the duo in order to recycle.

They say that now more than ever, being digitally connected is essential for everyday life, and is vital to reducing isolation and loneliness.

Equipment donated will be distributed to young people, the elderly, disabled people, voluntary groups and small businesses.
