The Q4 Quarterly Business Report (QBR) organised by the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC) is scheduled to be launched next week.

The event is set to take place on Wednesday, 7 February from 9am at Birmingham City University.

The report, sponsored by BCU offers an up-to-date snapshot of the performance of the Greater Birmingham business community.

As the flagship economic publication of the GBCC, it is the most comprehensive regular report of its kind in the city-region and the data gathered is shared with key regional & national stakeholders such as the West Midlands Mayor, HM Treasury and the Bank of England.

The theme of the launch event will focus on Entrepreneurialism in Greater Birmingham and after a run through of the results, attendees will hear from two high profile business leaders, Mark Lupton, area director for HSBC UK and Wendy Merricks, CEO and founder of Jumar.

The event will explore the opportunities available for entrepreneurs in the region and discuss how stakeholders across the region can support budding entrepreneurs

Speaking about the upcoming QBR, GBCC director of external affairs Raj Kandola (pictured) said: “We are delighted to be joined by two high profile speakers in Wendy and Mark. Both will have valuable insights on the importance of entrepreneurialism and the role it plays in the Greater Birmingham business community,.

The breakfast briefing will also offer a valuable update on the latest economic trends that we have gathered from local businesses as they continue to grapple with cost pressures, a tight labour market and supply chain disruptions. I would urge businesses to book their places if they haven’t had the chance to do so.”
