Online event to help small enterprises with cyber security
The Cybercrime Awareness Clinic team at the University of Portsmouth has created five workshops running in the next few months aimed at giving Growth Hub advisors the cyber security knowledge needed to advise small to medium sized enterprises.
Taking place from September to November, the workshops are part of The University of Porstmouth's collaboration with the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), as well as Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Growth Hub who are serving as amplification partners for the project.
The workshops seek to enhance the cyber crime/cyber security awareness and resilience of small-medium enterprises (SMEs) across the UK.
The aims of these workshops are to enable advisors to have more informed, effective and in-depth discussions about these topics with clients in order to help them better prepare to tackle cyber crime threats and manage any relevant incidents.
The workshops will be delivered in a hybrid mode through a combination of pre-recorded videos and slides and live sessions.
The sessions are limited to 25 participants and every event will be open to all hubs advisors on a 'first come - first served ' basis.
Please note that every link requires advisors to register for live seminars for two days. The two sessions provided for each event are different and discuss specific pre-recorded materials and must be attended on the same week.
The events will run as follows:
First double live workshop
Tuesday 21 September/Wednesday 22 September 2021
Second double live workshop
Tuesday 12 October/Wednesday 13 October 2021
Third double live workshop
