Operations staff gain international trade accreditation
Staff members at Tamworth-based PI-KEM have gained International Trade accreditation via the British Chambers of Commerce, offered through the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce.
Adam Gadsby, operations manager, Ruth Madden, finance manager, and Sam Barwell, warehouse assistant, were awarded the accreditation, which is designed to provide participants with an understanding of customs procedures and instructions on how to complete customs declaration forms.
The course included topics such as import and export processes, custom controls and classification of goods.
Fiona Rouse, operations director at PI-KEM, said: "Congratulations Adam Gadsby, Ruth Madden and Sam Barwell. All three have completed their accredited training in International Trade.
"This was achieved through a series of courses put on by Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce. Great to see them already putting their new skills into action."
PI-KEM supplies advanced materials and equipment for scientific research.
