Osborne pens two-year Moors extension

Solihull Moors have announced that Jamey Osborne has signed a two-year contract extension with the club.

The 30-year-old 's previous deal expired at the end of last season, but Osborne has now committed until the summer of 2024.

With 174 appearances and 26 goals to his name in yellow and blue, the midfielder is a firm fan favourite at the ARMCO Arena and has always had an eye for the spectacular.

Osborne made a return from injury in October 2021 and went on to play a key role in Moors ' third place finish last time out.

On penning an extension with Solihull Moors, Osborne (pictured) said: “Being here for another two years is great for me. I 've been here for a few years now and the amount the club has come on is excellent - that 's why I want to be part of it.

“There is still one aim, and we haven 't quite got there yet. We fell short at the end of last season but hopefully we can go one better and get promoted this time around.

“The fans know I 'm a local person, so I think that helps and they 've been great to me. You can see the numbers rising every year and hopefully we can get over the line for them. ”

Manager Neal Ardley said: “We are delighted to get Ozzy re-signed; he was sorely missed in our play-off push at the end of last season.

“We spent a lot of time getting him fit and back to the player we know he can be. This season we are hoping for a clear run and hoping he can be a major influence on how we can play going forward. ”
