A Warwickshire based events firm is hosting a series of industry open days designed to showcase how large-scale outdoor events are brought to life.

The open days, held by Deckerdance and Commbus, will take place on Wednesday 10 and Thursday 11 June at Blyth Hall Farm Events Field.

The event will give visitors the opportunity to see how complex outdoor events come together.

The site will be set up as if a live event is about to open, allowing guests to explore the infrastructure, logistics and atmosphere behind successful weddings, parties, corporate events and large-scale outdoor productions.

Deckerdence has built a reputation for its distinctive festival-style venue concept centred around a vintage double-deck bus bar and cocktail lounge, housed within a circular marquee structure.

Meanwhile, Commbus supports events nationwide with infrastructure, event control, power distribution, staging, mobile units and operational event support.

Visitors attending the open days will be able to explore the full Deckerdence venue setup alongside a working showcase of Commbus event infrastructure and services.

The event will include the Deckerdence unique venue, event control and communications setups, power distribution and BS7909 event electrical approaches, PA, lighting and production infrastructure, mobile event units and specialist vehicles, outdoor event logistics and site management insight, and informal networking with industry professionals and suppliers.

The format has intentionally been designed to feel relaxed and conversational rather than sales-led.

Mark “Blakey” Clark, director of Deckerdence and Commbus, said: “So many people only ever see the finished event.

“We wanted to create something that shows what actually happens behind the scenes and how all the moving parts fit together.

“Whether you’re planning a wedding, commissioning a corporate event, managing a venue or organising large public events, these open days are a chance to explore ideas, ask questions and see a real working event environment in action.”

Guests can choose from morning, afternoon or evening visit slots, with evening sessions featuring welcome drinks, food and live entertainment within the Deckerdence venue setup.

The open days are aimed at event planners, venue agencies, corporate planners, local authorities, wedding professionals, event organisers and industry suppliers.
