A group of business innovators are set to discuss the practical steps they have taken to remain on the front foot of commercial change at a live partner event.

'Making success the norm ' explores how organisations are keeping pace with today 's candidate-favoured business climate.

The four guest speakers include Amina Hussain (vice president of Asian Business Chambers of Commerce), Mat Everitt (vice president of Strategic Sales of Worldpay) Patrick Joiner (managing director of The Institute of Sales Professionals) and Tony Elvin (general manager at Touchwood Solihull).

Together they have a range of expertise covering sales management, leadership, forensic account, taxation, hospitality, leisure and retail.

The speakers will discuss:

  • Attracting, developing and retaining sales talent
  • Flexible working best practice and motivating teams back to the office
  • Comparing the attractiveness of government-funded sales qualifications and commercial training offers
  • How organisations choose a particular development approach for their salespeople
  • Connecting with untapped talent resources

Barry Hilton (pictured), managing director at Mercuri International, said: “We are so excited to be hosting an event exploring such crucial contemporary issues. Our expert-panel is packed with high-profile regional business personalities to add the essential West Midlands flavour. I am certain attendees will leave with ideas which can be immediately implemented in their own organisations. ”

Using a workshop format, the speakers will dig into the current business challenges and provide attendees with answers, ideas and instant takeaways from implementation.

A full English breakfast will be supplied before the event.

Making success the norm takes place on Thursday 23 June, 7.45am to 11.30am at Resorts World, Pendigo Way, Marston Green, Birmingham B40 1P.
