Partnership brings together rail and e-commerce

Urb-it, a rapidly growing sustainable logistics platform, has announced its partnership with Varamis Rail.

Together they will combine the power of rail and cargo bikes to deliver e-commerce purchases to the doorstep with minimal environmental impact.

Urb-it's customers can expect to receive their deliveries with minimal environmental impact by utilizing, electric trucks for the first mile, electric rail transportation for the mid mile and then e-cargo bikes for the last mile.

The partnership will significantly increase efficiency, lower costs, and reduce carbon emissions in the supply chain.

The solution provides several significant developments for Urb-it. It will allow the company to grow volume with its existing customer base by connecting the UK network to multiple regions and cities while placing Urb-it in a unique position to win new business through this new, fully sustainable solution.
