Pathway Group is supporting a South Asian Heritage Month celebration organised by the Asian Business Chamber of Commerce.

The event is taking place tomorrow at Birmingham Botanical Gardens and centres around this year’s South Asian Heritage Month theme ‘Unity in Diversity’.

It is set to bring together culture, conversation and community to celebrate the richness of South Asian identities and the shared experiences that connect communities across the diaspora.

The celebration will provide a platform for professionals, entrepreneurs, community leaders and allies to come together in recognition of the immense contribution South Asian communities have made, and continue to make, to the social, cultural and economic fabric of the Midlands.

Pathway Group is a Birmingham-based organisation committed to creating social and economic impact through skills, apprenticeships, business support and inclusive growth.

Through its work with employers, learners, entrepreneurs and communities, Pathway Group helps individuals and organisations unlock their potential and build stronger futures.

Safaraz Ali (pictured), founder and CEO of Pathway Group, said: “South Asian Heritage Month is an important opportunity to celebrate the stories, values, traditions and contributions that unite communities across the South Asian diaspora.

“While our cultures, languages, faiths and histories are wonderfully diverse, there is also a shared heritage of resilience, entrepreneurship, family, education and community that has shaped generations across the UK.”

“Here in the Midlands, South Asian businesses have played a vital role in driving innovation, creating jobs, revitalising high streets and contributing to the wider economic success of our region.

“Celebrating our shared heritage is not just about looking back with pride, it is also about creating the confidence, connections and visibility needed for the next generation of Asian entrepreneurs and business leaders to thrive.

“At Pathway Group, we believe representation matters. When we create spaces that celebrate culture and champion enterprise at the same time, we strengthen communities, inspire future talent and help unlock inclusive business growth across the Midlands.

“We are proud to support this event and stand alongside partners who are committed to building a more connected, confident and prosperous future for Asian businesses.”

Guest speakers for the South Asian Heritage Month celebration are broadcaster Amber Sandhu, entrepreneur Ninder Johal and Professor of Small Business at Aston University Professor Monder Raam.
