PJ Ellis joins employment charity as new ambassador
Sport 4 Life UK, the leading sport-for-employment charity supporting young people across the West Midlands, has announced that PJ Ellis has officially joined as an ambassador.
PJ (pictured), a proud Brummie, community advocate, and well-known radio presenter and awards host, has supported Sport 4 Life UK’s work for a number of years.
Deeply involved in Birmingham’s business and social landscape, he is passionate about creating opportunities for young people and helping to make the city a better place for everyone. His appointment marks an exciting next chapter in the charity’s journey.
As an ambassador, PJ will help raise awareness of Sport 4 Life UK's mission to empower young people to reach their potential through sport and employability support. He will also play an active role in championing the charity’s work across the community, supporting events, and amplifying its message to new audiences.
Tom Clarke-Forrest, CEO and founder of Sport 4 Life UK, said: “PJ perfectly embodies everything we stand for at Sport 4 Life UK: a deep passion for sport, strong Birmingham roots, and a genuine commitment to supporting young people. He’s a huge advocate for our work and for this city, where we started, and his enthusiasm for making a difference really shines through. We’re thrilled to have him on board as an ambassador and deeply appreciate his support.”
Speaking about his new role, PJ Ellis said: “I’ve admired the work Sport 4 Life UK does for a long time, using sport as a vehicle to change lives and give young people the tools they need to succeed. It’s a privilege to become an ambassador for such a brilliant charity that’s making a real difference in Birmingham and beyond.”
Founded in Birmingham in 2006, Sport 4 Life UK has grown into the leading sport-for-employment charity in the region, working with thousands of disadvantaged young people aged 11 to 29 each year. The charity provides personal development, mentoring, and employability programmes designed to help young people gain skills, qualifications, and confidence to move into education, training, or employment.
With PJ joining as an ambassador, Sport 4 Life UK continues to strengthen its connections within the local community, ensuring more young people have the opportunity to create a better future for themselves.
