Brand and web agency PLOTT Creative has been doing its bit to support the next generation of creative talent.

The agency welcomed Cassius Gran, a youngster who is keen to pursue a career in the industry, for a work placement.

Cassius, the son of local illustrator Sabina Gran, has an interest in graphic design and was invited to join the PLOTT ranks.

He was put to work immediately, with an artistic brief to design a logo for a football results app.

The idea was to show how the creative process can be harnessed in a professional environment - from client brief to conceptualisation, through development and delivery.

The afternoon was spent practising with various design software - a vital skill for modern designers.

Richard Plotnek, PLOTT creative director said: “I 'd like to think we are inspiring the next generation of creatives coming into the industry.

“The industry can offer so much and is great fun. I always love the chance to show people what we do. ”

Sabina said: "As a high-functioning neurodiverse kid, Cassius sometimes struggles to fit into our one-size-fits-all education system.

“So I was delighted PLOTT welcomed him, as I know that they encourage diverse thinking!

“He had a great time and now he's hooked on Photoshop."

Anna Plotnek, PLOTT 's managing director, said: "I loved my work experience at Adline Magazine so much that it made me determined to join the creative sector in some capacity.

“I wanted to give this same opportunity to Cassius as I know he has been vocal about design work.

“I hope his day at the PLOTT studio gave him a real feel for what he could do one day."
