Popular presenter returns as host of young professional awards
Multitalented presenter Gemma Hill will return as host of this year 's Future Faces and BYPY Young Professional Awards.
The Heart drive time presenter hosted Future Faces ' virtual awards ceremony last year during the pandemic.
Acting as compere for this year 's hybrid event, Gemma (pictured) hopes to bring her humour and chatty personality to what is sure to be a grand celebration of the region 's young professionals.
Gemma is a firmly established presenter at Heart West Midlands, working alongside Ed James as his on air 'partner in crime ' since 2017.
Hosting the number one commercial drive time show in the region, with around 400,000 listeners per week, Gemma keeps listeners entertained each morning with her brilliant sense of humour.
Gemma is also an accomplished solo presenter for Heart 's weekend shows and loves solo hosting just as much as co-hosting.
Experienced in front of large audiences, Gemma has hosted some exciting events in the West Midlands, including The Brummies, a fun filled yet emotional event celebrating inspiring individuals and telling their amazing stories, The Birmingham Awards, lots of Christmas light switch-ons, fireworks nights and fashion shows.
Her particular favourite was warming up the crowds at big sporting events, such as the T20 at Edgbaston Cricket ground.
Rapidly becoming a leading interviewer, Gemma has chatted with many personalities from the world of entertainment.
From sharing stories with Tom Jones and Ed Sheeran to giggling with Philip and Holly from This Morning, her natural approach makes her performances a big success.
Gemma said: “I was absolutely delighted to be asked back to host this event. This year has taken so much from everyone, it is wonderful to be able to come together and celebrate the incredible young professionals in our region who have not only overcome the adversity of the past year, but have excelled within it.
“With the Future Faces Awards combining with BPS Birmingham's BYPY awards, this year promises to be even bigger and more exciting than ever.
“With so much talent from our region to celebrate, it's going to be one heck of a virtual party! See you there. ”
