President joins Chamber's sustainability summit
Lichfield and Tamworth Chamber president Fiona Rouse represented the area at a major sustainability summit hosted by Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce.
Fiona, director scientific equipment and advanced materials supplier PI-KEM, was among the attendees at the Sustainable Business Conference at The Exchange in Birmingham.
The conference - which rounded off a month-long campaign of webinars and content from the GBCC - was designed to help businesses on their journey towards net zero with discussions on topics such as efficiency, reducing emission and managing energy costs.
Keynote speakers included West Midlands mayor Andy Street who discussed how the region was leading the way with sustainability plans.
Fiona said: “It was though-provoking event focused on how businesses can review their own company practises, alongside their supply chain and operational needs to make changes that will allow them to work towards Net Zero by reducing emissions down as far as possible with no carbon offsetting. ”
