Quality management boss completes London to Paris charity cycling challenge
Geoff Cousins, the chairman of Quality management firm G&P recently completed his third 500km cycle ride from London to Paris, raising money for Cure Leukaemia.
Geoff, who is also the chairman of Cure Leukaemia joined a 200 strong peloton on Thursday, 6 June in Greenwich Park and finished at 3.30pm in Paris on Sunday, 10 June.
Speaking about the journey, Geoff said: “ My training got delayed for one reason or another, but I was determined to take part and raise funds for Cure Leukaemia in 2024. It was a gruelling 500km with far too many hills for my kind of liking, but I did it.
“Every 14 minutes, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a form of blood cancer and I know what people go through as I had Non Hodgkins lymphoma in 2005 and thankfully live to tell the tale.
“Every penny I raise will go towards funding specialist research nurses at 15 blood cancer centres across the UK, who connect patients with the latest treatments through clinical trials. These trials not only save lives but also hasten global progress towards eradicating all forms of this disease.”
