Birmingham based real estate consultancy, Empro Consultants, have been recognised for their leadership with their managing director making the finals of the prestigious Institute of Directors Awards.

In the category of Start Up & Young, Emma Armstrong and empro have been recognised for their customer focus, delivery excellence and sustainable ethos, along with industry knowledge and business growth.

Empro say their growing reputation as a young, vibrant business and quality delivery is affirming their position as the go to consultants in their market, while attracting a lot of notice from industry.

Emma Armstrong (pictured), managing director of Empro, said: “I'm over the moon to hear that I am a finalist in the Institute of Directors (IoD) Director of the Year 2023. This is just so wonderful and I can't express how grateful I am.

“I especially love that these awards are focusing on people not profit, along with the development of communities that we all live in and are a part of. I am so proud of our team, amazing clients and the difference we make through the wonderful projects we deliver.”

The IoD awards will be celebrating the best of British from across the UK, and winners will be announced at a glittering black-tie awards ceremony, held at the organisation's headquarters at 116 Pall Mall on 29 September.

The awards will be particularly special being the 120th anniversary of the Institute, and this year's awards will be the first held since 2018, bringing directors from all corners of the country together.

Jon Geldart, director general of the IoD, said: “Britain's directors have had to dig deep over the past few years to overcome business conditions which continue to prove challenging.

“These awards are about people, not profits, and celebrating those who celebrate others. It is therefore particularly pleasing to be able to bring together all our finalists to share and celebrate the achievements of innovative directors across the country, for their businesses, the environment and the communities within which they work and live.

“The standard of entries was high this year and I look forward to celebrating with our finalists and guests at the awards event in September.”
