Recruiter celebrates apprenticeship appointment and award nominations

Lichfield-based Blue Diamond Recruitment has welcomed Nelly Jones as its first recruitment apprentice, alongside news of a regional award shortlisting and a finalist place in the Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year Awards.

The firm, founded by husband and wife Amy and Daniel Court, won Start-up Business of the Year at the Birmingham Awards 2025.

Jones will work alongside the founders across all stages of the recruitment process while completing her apprenticeship.

Amy Court, director, said: "We've always believed that great recruiters aren't simply found, they're developed. Welcoming Nelly to the business is an investment in the future, not only for Blue Diamond Recruitment but for our industry."

The company has also been shortlisted for the Recruitment & Employment Confederation Awards 2026 in the Community Impact of the Year category, recognising its work with local charities.

Blue Diamond Recruitment partners with St Giles Hospice, donating a percentage of every successful placement, with Amy and Daniel Court volunteering on the committee for the hospice's Winter Gala for a second year.

During this year's FIFA World Cup, the firm pledged £100 for every England goal, raising £1,400 so far.

Daniel Court, co-founder, has been named a finalist in the Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year Awards 2026, in the Start-up & Entrepreneurship category.
