Leading Midlands recruitment consultancy SF Recruitment (SF) has launched a campaign in a public pledge to support flexible working for clients and candidates alike.

With offices in Birmingham, Leicester and Nottingham, SF introduced fully flexible working for the whole business in 2021 and has proved to be so successful that the consultancy has decided to launch 'Flex for Success '.

Research has proven that flexibility works for businesses, and it works for people. A societal shift is on its way and SF want to lead the way in supporting other businesses in making a change towards flexible work models, while also helping employees find the flexible work they need.

In SF 's research for its 'Flex for Success ' campaign, it discovered that 1/3 of women are yet to return to work post-pandemic, 92 per cent of young people state that flexible working is a must when looking for their next role and 87 per cent of everyone else surveyed would like to continue with some degree of flexibility in their work post-pandemic.

SF believe this shift needs to happen and that the consultancy is in the right place at the right time to help make that a reality.

Flexible working has been proven to help attract and retain a more highly skilled workforce. It addresses the gender pay gap, encourages diversity in the workplace and works towards the government 's 'Levelling Up ' plans.

Saira Demmer (pictured), CEO at SF Recruitment, said: “We are strong believers in the power of personal autonomy to drive happiness at work and therefore flexibility has become a core component of our business model.

“Flexibility isn 't just about working hours - although they are important - for us it 's about having the freedom to make your own decisions and to adapt the way you work; how and when you need to. It 's been hugely successful for us, boosting staff productivity and improving retention.

“We 've even seen our gender pay gap tilt slightly in favour of women this year as its giving working parents an easier route to success. We want to share our positive experiences and use our platform to support the businesses and candidates we work with ”.

Seventy-six per cent of employees are more likely to apply for a role if there is an option to work flexible hours, highlighting that flexibility is no longer a nice-to-have, but an expectation for today 's workers. By tapping into a vast talent pool of highly-skilled people who have written themselves out the jobs market post Covid, SF Recruitment can offer its clients the best talent on the market, providing solutions that were previously considered not possible.
