Recruitment drive to aid venue 's growth
A Lichfield venue which has diversified to accommodate weddings and corporate events is eying further growth.
Coton House Farm, situated in Whittington three miles outside of Lichfield city centre, is expanding its team.
The business, which began as a family farm and riding school, was started by director Darren Martin.
The decision was made to diversify the business by converting one of the barns in a wedding and corporate events space.
Having started to build bookings and staffing levels ahead of the 2020 season, Coton House Farm was hit by closure due to the pandemic.
However, Darren and the team used the closure to focus on building an online presence, as well as converting further barns to support the venue with preparation suites, kitchens and a ceremony barn.
Now the venue employs 85 people and is looking to recruit three more positions.
There are two roles available as wedding and corporate events sales - one full-time and one part-time - as well as position as a part-time social media and creative promotional manager.
Darren said: “We have a great team - the best - and we are looking for some great people to join our family, to join our journey. ”
