Recycling firm appoints new financial director

Independent waste and recycling firm, Willshee's, has appointed John D 'Aubney as their new finance director.

John D'Aubney (pictured) brings over 30 years ' experience to the family run business in Burton-on-Trent, which is currently enjoying year-on-year growth as demand for commercial and domestic waste and recycling services continue to increase.

Having worked across numerous B2B and B2C international markets, John joins Willshee 's from Staffordshire-based Leavesley Group where he was group finance director.

Earlier in his career, John worked in a number of finance and system development roles including Lloyds TSB Head Office and KMPG audit and compliance.

He also has a degree in accounting and finance from the University of Birmingham and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

John said: “I am delighted to have joined Willshee 's at such an exciting time. Adoption of strict Environmental standards, and the accountability, traceability and corporate social responsibility for waste management are all increasingly being demanded as part of best practice in industry, the public sector and SMEs, and are a compulsory part of listed reporting requirements.

"Alongside rapidly increasing domestic demand, the facilities, quality, experience and the management team that Willshee 's has in place will enable the huge potential here to be realised.

“My particular focus will be leading the team in first class financial processes, controls and reporting to support the business as we look to achieve some very ambitious targets over the next five years. ”

Willshee's has been providing waste and recycling solutions for over 37 years and propose, develop and deliver tailor-made services for the collection, recycling and disposal of any waste.

Their particular focus is on achieving zero waste to landfill, alongside skip and equipment hire services.

They firm have also recently invested £10 million in opening a third depot, a Materials Recycling Facility in Swadlincote, Derbyshire.
