Regional businesses called to apply for upcoming Burton Celebratory Lunch awards

Burton & District Chamber of Commerce is calling businesses and young professionals in the area to submit their applications and stand a chance to win awards at the Burton Celebratory Lunch.

Four awards will be handed out during the event, happening at Branston Golf & Country Club on 24 November.

The awards, which are free to apply, are open to both members and non-members based within the Burton and District area. They are;

  • Burton & District Start-up Business of the Year
  • Burton & District Young Professional of the Year - Sponsored by Hardy Signs
  • Burton & District Business of the Year - Sponsored by BCRS Business Loans 
  • Burton & District President’s Award - Sponsored by Astle Paterson (Winner chosen by Burton & District President)

Businesses trading for less than 2 years are eligible to apply for the Burton & District Start-up Business of the Year award.

Businesses trading for more than 2 years can apply to become the Burton & District Business of the Year.

The Burton & District Young Professional of the Year award is open to people aged between 18 and 35.

Speaking about the awards, head of Burton Chamber of Commerce Richard Brooks said: “Applying for an award is a fantastic opportunity in itself, whether you’re a Chamber member or not.

“The process gets you thinking about your achievements, being shortlisted brings great recognition, and if you reach this stage, your promotion and PR journey really begins.

“I’d strongly encourage all eligible organisations, businesses, education, third sector and young professionals to put themselves forward.”

The deadline for applying is 15 September 11:59pm.

Tickets for the event are priced at £50 plus VAT per person for members and non members.
