Robotics firm expands UK hospitality footprint with new partnership

UK service robotics company BodyBot has signed a new agreement with AMMA Kitchen LTD in Coventry, marking another significant step in the growing adoption of service robots across the hospitality sector.

A BodyBot service robot will be deployed at the restaurant to support day-to-day operations, improve efficiency and create a memorable experience for customers.

The partnership represents another important milestone for BodyBot as the company continues to introduce practical service robotics into restaurants, hotels and other customer-facing businesses across the UK.

Rather than replacing people, BodyBot's approach is focused on using robotics to support existing teams by taking on repetitive transport and delivery tasks within a venue.

In a restaurant environment, this can allow staff to spend less time repeatedly walking between service areas and more time concentrating on customers, hospitality and the overall dining experience.

Claudiu Dinu, director of BodyBot, who are members of the Greater Birmingham Global Chamber of Commerce, said: “We are delighted to welcome AMMA Kitchen LTD to the growing BodyBot family.

“Every new deployment is important to us because it demonstrates that service robotics is no longer something businesses are simply talking about for the future — it is technology that can be used in real hospitality environments today.

“Our goal has never been to replace the human side of hospitality. Great restaurants depend on people. What we want to do is give those people smarter tools, reduce repetitive tasks and allow them to spend more time looking after their customers.”

The new robot will be prepared and configured by BodyBot ahead of deployment at the Coventry restaurant.

Once operational, customers visiting AMMA Kitchen will have the opportunity to see service robotics working in a real restaurant environment.

The AMMA Kitchen agreement follows BodyBot's continued expansion within the hospitality market and reflects growing interest from businesses looking at automation as a way of supporting staff, improving efficiency and differentiating the customer experience.

Dinu continued: “We are incredibly excited about what is happening in robotics right now. Adoption is accelerating, businesses are becoming more comfortable with the technology, and customers are increasingly interested in interacting with robots in everyday environments.”

“AMMA Kitchen is another fantastic addition to our growing customer base, and we look forward to seeing their new robotic team member working alongside their staff.”

Businesses interested in seeing how service robotics could work within their own venue can contact BodyBot to arrange a demonstration or discuss deployment options.
