Royal Business Fair speaker line-up revealed
Three speakers with vastly different career experiences will be delivering seminars at the Royal Business Fair, hosted by Royal Sutton Coldfield Chamber of Commerce this month.
The business expo takes place at Sutton Coldfield Town Hall on Friday 30 June, with hundreds of delegates expected to attend.
The event is sponsored by law firm Enoch Evans, Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Council and Visit Royal Sutton Coldfield.
As well as exhibitors and networking opportunities, the business fair will feature a seminar programme - for which the line-up has now been revealed.
Among the speakers is Darren Harris (pictured), a Paralympian athlete, who has defied the odds to achieve remarkable success and inspire others.
Despite significant challenges due to his visual impairment, he has demonstrated resilience, determination, and skill, earning numerous accolades and becoming a role model for all.
In addition to his athletic achievements, Darren is a passionate advocate for disability rights and inclusion, using his platform to raise awareness and promote understanding and acceptance of people with disabilities.
Also taking part in the seminar programme is David Cox, CEO of historic Birmingham manufacturing firm Midland Tank and Iron Plate.
The company was established in 1919.
Under David 's leadership, Midland Tank and Iron Plate has continued to thrive and expand, with a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction.
The company has also implemented sustainable practices in its operations, including the use of renewable energy sources and recycling of materials.
David 's leadership has been instrumental in the success of Midland Tank and Iron Plate, which continues to be a trusted provider of steel tanks and iron plates to customers around the world.
Simon Smith, the chief financial officer at the Sutton Coldfield-headquartered Arthur Terry Learning Partnership (ATLP), is also speaking.
The ATLP is a growing multi-academy trust of 13 primary schools, six secondary schools and one teaching school, based in Birmingham, Coventry, North Warwickshire and Staffordshire.
Simon said: “It 's an honour and a privilege to be part of this much-anticipated event and to be among so many prominent and respected guest speakers.
“The ATLP works closely with the Chamber and other partner organisations, supporting each other to drive forward innovation and growth in our region, which provides lasting benefits to our communities.
“I 'm excited to be attending the Royal Business Fair and would like to thank the Chamber for its continued support of the Partnership and our wider learning family. ”
