Burton Rugby Football Club (BRFC) will be exploring the future of sustainability in sports during an exclusive event hosted by Project Better Energy.

Taking place on Wednesday, 9 July from 6pm to 7.30pm, the event will bring together local sports leaders and decision-makers for an open discussion on the role of renewable energy in reducing operational costs and safeguarding the future of our facilities.

The event aims to open conversations around practical solutions and how they can be realistically implemented to improve financial efficiency while reducing environmental impact.

It will be a networking opportunity for club managers, board members, and community leaders from across Burton and the Midlands to exchange ideas and learn from one another’s experiences.

Stephen Eastwood, BRFC committee member, said: "We need to think beyond match days and clubhouses.

“The way we power our facilities today will shape the opportunities available to future generations.

“This event is a chance for us as leaders in sport to come together, share knowledge, and set a collective standard for sustainability in our region."

Food and refreshments will be served during the event.
