The swimming pool at Rugeley Leisure Centre will re-open late November 2021 after a £1.25m investment into its facilities.
The newly refurbished pool boasts:

Councillor Adrienne Fitzgerald, portfolio leader for Housing, Heritage and Leisure said “The much-loved swimming pool has been closed since early 2020, when problems were identified when the pool closed due to the pandemic.
“However, this situation has presented an opportunity to invest and future proof this facility for years to come. I am delighted that the work is well underway and nearing completion; residents will soon be able to enjoy the new and improved pool. ”
The £1.25m investment also includes a state of the art, outdoor 3G artificial grass pitch, with low energy LED floodlights; carpark extension with electric vehicle charging points. This work will cost £0.75m and is due to be completed at the end of September 2021.
Chris Derbyshire, managing director for Inspiring healthy lifestyles said “We are extremely proud to manage Rugeley Leisure Centre, this investment ensures that the facility continues to be a wonderful community asset and will provide further opportunity to encourage and support people in becoming more active and healthy. ”
