School 's 'net-walking ' event a breath of fresh air
Bishop Vesey 's Grammar School relaunched its business events programme with a 'Net-Walk ' for participating businesses.
Organised by Inspired Partners, part of the school 's corporate partnership scheme, the Net-Walk took place in Sutton Park.
Inspired Partners set up the route plan and facilitated thought provoking questions at each stopping point which helped everyone see nature as well as business through a different lens.
This event provided a great opportunity for participants to get some fresh air and interact with other business leaders while thinking differently about business planning and challenges.
The Net-Walk stopped at a number of waypoints to consider different elements of green space and the initiatives which protect, maintain and enhance areas of green space.
These scenarios were then used to provoke business conversations and share valuable thoughts and insights which can be applied back in respective business settings.
Kate Curry, director of The Curry Design Studio and BVGS Corporate Partner coined the new networking term by saying: “Net-Walking! It is the way forward! What a creative and enjoyable way to meet everyone in one of my favourite places. ”
Brian Davies, BVGS development director and deputy director of Sport said: “It was a really nice way to re-introduce in-person networking as well as meet some new business contacts alongside existing and new corporate partners.
“With such fantastic feedback it looks like this may become an annual feature of our successful Business Events Programme. It 's a perfect way to engage with others, reflect and re-set. ”
