School hosts 7th annual golf day
Bishop Vesey 's Grammar School has hosted its 7th Annual Golf Day, inviting guests to enjoy a great day of friendly competition and networking.
The event hosted nearly 60 golfers at Great Barr Golf Club who were greeted with brunch sandwiches prior to their round of golf.
Events and competitions took place including Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin and Challenge the Student won by Year 12 student Harry Dowen who demonstrated his expertise by scoring a hole-in-one.
Non-golfers also joined the golfers at dinner following the day where key speeches were made and prizes distributed.
Bishop Vesey 's Grammar School congratulated all the winners of the competition, notably a team not so aptly named “The Bogey Men ” who scored a more than respectable score of 99.
Alongside them, the second place team, United Carpets, who have held a winning streak for the past two years were congratulated as well as the Little Owls Tuition team who came third place.
The Annual Golf Day has been sponsored by X2 Workspaces since its inception and the school values the long-standing partnership and sponsorship with the interior designer.
Graham Swindells, finance and operations director at Bishop Vesey's Grammar School, said: “The Annual Golf Day has become an important event in the school calendar the event gives the opportunity for a range of stakeholders to participate in an enjoyable and relaxing day whilst giving the opportunity to network and develop new friendships.
“The excellent course and facilities of Great Barr Golf Club were the perfect setting for this event. We would like to thank everyone that has supported and attended this event, especially those partners of the school that have been able to offer sponsorships and donations to make it such a success and we look forward building on our previous successes and to hosting the 8th Annual Golf Day in June 2023, which I am confident will be another very enjoyable day. ”
