Serco Employment, Skills and Training will be launching the next intake of the Government Skills for Life ‘Digital Skills for the Workplace’ Bootcamp.

It is available to businesses operating in the West Midlands Combined Authority region.

Firms can get involved either by filling current or upcoming digital roles for free or by upskilling existing staff.

Serco is willing to provide highly motivated candidates who have completed industry-relevant digital training.

In return Serco requires guaranteed interviews for suitable learners once they complete the programme.

Employees who earn below £34,000 per year can access the training fully funded, subject to eligibility.

Claire Lane (pictured), head of employer engagement at Serco EST said:“Employers are telling us that digital skills, especially for new starters, are lacking in many applications they receive for roles.

“This course is a great opportunity for businesses to benefit from either taking on someone who has practical training in subjects including Artificial Intelligence, Digital Communication, Digital Systems and Digital Infrastructure, or to benefit from fully funded training in these subjects for their current employees.

“Either way, it’s a fantastic way to future proof your business.

“We have been working with many businesses in the WMCA region for several years now and would love for more companies to reach out to take advantage of this opportunity.”
