Setback coach to share secrets during Expo talk

A businesswoman who helps senior leaders get back on track during times of setback will share her experiences during a webinar at Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce 's Spring Expo.

Rebecca Mander, the founder of GuruYou, will address delegates during a seminar at the Expo, which takes place at Villa Park on 31 March.

Up until a few years ago, Rebecca was managing director of global consumer goods company Smartwares.

As well as facing professional challenges, she also experienced personal hardship when she lost her son and then her mother who was the company CEO.

Despite these tragedies, she led the UK subsidiary from a loss situation following the economic crisis into a £14m turnover company with her unique leadership style which has gained her a fellowship with the Institute of Leadership and Management.

Motivated by her experiences, she decided in 2014 to retrain at Warwick University and now specialises in supporting high-calibre leaders during times of personal setback.

Rebecca focuses both on the needs of the business and that of the client - equipping leaders with tools and techniques to build confidence, resilience and drive when otherwise it is at an all-time low.

Rebecca Mander (pictured) said: “As we pass the two year mark since the first lockdown, there are many ways in which business owners and employees are feeling stress and exhaustion with negative feelings and emotions that can sometimes feel quite overwhelming.
