Skills Hub secures fully funded training grants
Businesses in Cannock Chase, East Staffordshire, Tamworth, South Staffordshire, and Lichfield can now apply for grants to cover the full cost of specialist training.
The funding now on offer through local district councils comes after the Stoke-onTrent and Staffordshire Skills Hub awarded nearly its 550th grant.
The grants of up to £5,000 are on offer to businesses of all sectors, with the councils urging businesses from the hospitality and logistics sector to apply.
The Skills Hub is welcoming applications for a wide variety of training needs, from sales and management training through to more niche courses, now including courses to achieve licenses such as Heavy-Goods-Vehicle licenses.
Suzanne Quinn, project manager at the Skills Hub said, “This is a great opportunity for Staffordshire businesses to invest in their staff and recoup the costs. ”
To qualify, businesses must be classed as SMEs, have been trading for more than six months and training must be paid for by 28 February 2022.
