West Midland based Mander Hadley Solicitors are celebrating 125 years in the region – with a proud history of independent legal service to the local community.

The firm’s long and distinguished heritage in Coventry, Kenilworth, Warwick and the surrounding area dates as far back as 1901 when it was originally founded by Harry Iliffe Mander.

Carl Jones, managing director, said: “Our firm was founded in 1901 by Harry Iliffe Mander. In 1928 Walter Hadley joined forces with Harry and ‘Mander Hadley Solicitors’ was born.

“We moved to our current head office at 1 The Quadrant, Coventry in 1957 where we still practice from today, together with our office in Kenilworth and serviced office in Warwick.

“The Mander family remained strong generational Solicitors of the firm and brothers David and Peter Mander, Grandsons to Harry Mander were both Solicitors at Mander Hadley for many years before retiring. Sadly, Peter Mander died in 2023 but his legacy still lives on today.”

The firm has a strong history of training and developing their staff with many employees having worked for the group for decades, most notably Julie Maclean, Jenny Jones and Jane Jones who collectively have served for many decades as essential support staff to the firm.

Three of the four Directors, Carl Jones, Elizabeth Jennings and Matthew Riding all trained and qualified with the firm.

Carl added: “We’ve seen many more qualifications throughout the years too which is testament to the firm’s commitment to their employee’s personal and professional growth.

“We currently have one trainee Solicitor, Javairia Bi in our Residential Conveyancing Department who will be due to qualify in 2028.

“Today, the firm is committed to providing top legal services in Warwickshire and beyond, specialising in Civil Litigation, Family Law, Residential Property, Commercial Property, Wills and Probate and Private Client matters.

“We are a full service law firm who are eager to help in any way we can to make legal services as smooth as possible to help our clients through difficult times, or complete important transactional deals.

“In addition to providing legal services, we also endeavour to help raise awareness and funds for local charities where donations will make a big difference.

“In the past few years, we have supported ‘Coventry and Warwickshire Air Ambulance’, ‘Myton Hospice’, ‘SOS Silence of Suicide’, ‘The Friendship Project for Children’ and as our ‘Charity of the Year’ for 2025-2026 we’re supporting the ‘Our Jay Foundation’ raising money so more life saving defibrillators can be installed in local areas.

“In raising funds our staff have taken part in huge challenges such as the Three Peaks challenge, and smaller events such as an Inflatable 5km obstacle course, and lots of firm-wide Bake Offs, sweepstakes and raffles raising invaluable funds for great causes.

“There are not many firms who can say they have been independently practicing in the heart of their community for 125-years and we will continue to serve our clients for many more years to come.”

Stuart Daniel, director & Family Law Solicitor, said: “As an established Warwickshire law firm we have a number of clients and employees in and with ties to the Solihull and Greater Birmingham areas.

“We are keen to build upon those relationships and expand our services in those areas. We are excited to join the Solihull and Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce and look forward to becoming involved in events and developing relationships with other members in the near future.

“If you or anyone you know requires any legal services, please do get in touch and a member of the team will be more than happy to assist you.”
