Solicitors raise funds for YMCA Burton
Burton based Else Solicitors met with YMCA Burton officials to donate funds for their foodbank.
Managing partner of Else Solicitors, Chris Else and marketing coordinator Charlotte Osborne met with fundraising & partnerships manager Paula Senior, fundraising officer, Isabelle Winter and food bank coordinator Julia Ratcliffe to hand over donations collected throughout December.
The demand for the food bank is ever increasing, with up to 13 parcels being handed out daily. Each emergency food parcel provides enough food for three days and can be collected from the YMCA, Reconnect building between 9am and 7pm with no referral required.
As a firm, Else Solicitors are committed to supporting the local community. January is a hard month for many and the demand for this service has increased year on year, with 129 parcels already being handed out since the start of 2024.
Chris Else, managing partner at Else Solicitors said; “Else Solicitors continue to support YMCA Burton and have done so for several years.
“The support offered by the YMCA to the homeless and people in need is vital and helps homeless individuals get back on track and breaks the cycle of unemployment and homelessness.
“Seeing people being made homeless and having to sleep rough is something that we are keen to eradicate in Burton and hopefully our small contribution will both highlight the problem and assist with a solution.”
Fundraising and partnerships manager at Burton YMCA Paula Senior said: “We are delighted that the staff at Else Solicitors have chosen to support our foodbank again, the collection was fantastic and we very much value Chris and his team at Else Solicitors.
“They really believe in helping others and support us throughout the year.
“Our foodbank is open for anyone in need and people can self-refer. We are open 365 days a year and based in Burton town centre.
