Solihull Sixth Form College is throwing open its doors for an open day for prospective students and parents on Saturday 15 October. Online bookings are required to attend, and that booking system has just opened.

The open day takes place from 9.30am to 3.30pm (last entry at 2.30pm) and any prospective student or parent who wishes to attend must book an Eventbrite ticket for timed-entry via the College website at https://www.solihullsfc.ac.uk/applying/open-days/.

All prospective students must be accompanied by a parent or other adult.

Visitors will be able to meet teachers from all curriculum areas at the event. Teachers and current students will be on hand to talk about our range of A level, BTEC and T level courses and answer any questions that visitors have.

This includes the brand new T level course in Education & Childcare, which is launching in September 2023.

Members of the senior leadership team will also be delivering talks every hour to give students and parents an insight into what makes Solihull Sixth Form College such a popular choice for post-16 study.

Support staff and our Student Council will be on hand to talk to visitors about the support services we offer, including careers guidance, academic coaching, additional learning support, admissions, student welfare and financial support.

College Principal Dr Martin Sullivan said, "We 're looking forward to welcoming prospective students and parents onto campus on Saturday 15 October.

“Solihull Sixth Form College is a very popular destination for aspiring level 3 students because we offer a great range of A level, BTEC and T level courses with excellent teaching. In order for young people to make the best decisions for their future, I would urge them to book a place to attend this event, because it 's the best way to learn about their choices."

Timed entry to this event will help to manage the number of people on campus to ensure a steady flow of visitors. For this reason, no entry will be possible for those that turn up on the day without a booking.

For those who cannot make it on Saturday 15 October, additional open events will take place on Wednesday 23 November and Monday 23 January and registration for those events will open up after the October open day.
