Solihull council announces vibrant easter programme

The Solihull town centre is set to come alive during Easter with a vibrant programme of theatre shows, live music, and family-friendly activities.

Richard Jones: The Sound of Magic will be showcased on Saturday 28 March at The Core Theatre for one night - bringing unparalleled talents and never-before-seen tricks by the magician.

Audiences will be able to step back and fast forward through the dazzling eras of Indian cinema with Bollywood Time Machine on Sunday 29 March at the theatre featuring songs and spectacular dance performances.

Families can hop on down to Touchwood’s Easter Village Green from Monday 30 March to Friday 10 April.

Over the Easter holidays with plenty of spring activities from flower crowns to festival tote bags, attendees can choose from five different hands-on craft sessions.

Tickets are £4 and include a voucher for £2 off a kid’s hot chocolate from Cacao.

A K-Pop all action tribute concert will be taking place on Tuesday 31 March at The Core Theatre featuring all-live performances of smash-hits including songs from Blackpink, BTS and Twice as well as ‘Soda Pop.’  ‘Golden’ and many more creating the ultimate non-stop party.  

George Michael fans can enjoy Choose George on Thursday 2 April at the Core Theatre celebrate early Wham! hits right through to his later songs, all performed by the incomparable Steve Mitchell.

People can also experience the magic behind the music that defined an era with The Story Behind Motown on Sunday 5 April at The Core Theatre.

It features original footage shown on the big screen and classic hits performed by the incredibly talented singers Anita and Courtney.

The Core Theatre will host the Mayor of Solihull's charity performance, Solihull Shines, on Friday 10 April with a mix of entertainment and spectacular performances.

The fundraising variety performance shines a light on the best young musicians and performers that Solihull has to offer.

Based on the picture book by Steven Lee, A Big Egg, is performed with a magical mixture of live action, animation and puppetry.

Taking place on Saturday 11 April at The Core Theatre, it’s perfect for families looking to spark curiosity, share joyful moments, and experience a heartfelt celebration of life’s little wonders.
