Solihull firm backs new green initiative

Solihull-based TC Branding is backing a new green initiative – with a key supplier taking major steps towards greater sustainability.

The move sees Preseli partner with British PrintCo as part of their innovative Closed Loop Lanyard Recycling Project, aimed at reducing waste and promoting circular manufacturing practices within the promotional merchandise industry.

The forward-thinking collaboration ensures that lanyard trims and fittings are reprocessed and reused right here in the UK, significantly reducing transport emissions and supporting local sustainability efforts.

Guy Roth (pictured), founder of British PrintCo, said: “We're committed to making the event and promotional merchandise industry greener. We believe this partnership is a major step forward in helping exhibitions and clients reduce waste and reuse materials effectively.”

British PrintCo will play a central role in the REUSE phase of the programme, incorporating reclaimed lanyard fittings into their UK-made products. They’ll also feed production waste and outdated polyester stock into the recycling process, further minimizing environmental impact.

This service covers all British PrintCo / Preseli polyester and rPET lanyards and ribbon-based products, including wristbands.

The Closed Loop Lanyard Recycling initiative was officially launched by Preseli at Merchandise World earlier this year and has already begun receiving returned lanyards for disassembly and recycling.
