Solihull Moors Foundation holiday camps begin with successful first week

Solihull Moors Foundation's summer holiday camps are continuing to provide children across Solihull with a fun, active and engaging way to spend the school holidays, following a hugely successful opening week.

Taking place at Damson Park and Coppice Academy in Solihull, as well as St Cuthbert's in Stechford, the camps offer a packed programme of football, multi-sports and themed activity days for children aged five to 16, providing a safe and inclusive environment where young people can stay active, build confidence and make new friendships throughout the summer holidays.

The first week of the programme welcomed lots of young participants, with the highlight for many being surprise visits from Solihull Moors' first-team players.

Players spent time meeting children across all three camps, signing autographs, posing for photographs and joining in with activities, creating lasting memories for those in attendance.

The camps continue throughout the summer holidays, with both paid places and HAF-funded spaces available for eligible children.

Joe Butler, head of foundation, said: “It's been fantastic to see so many children enjoying our holiday camps already this summer.

“The atmosphere throughout the first week was brilliant and seeing the excitement on the children's faces when our first-team players came to visit was a real highlight.

“Our aim is always to provide a safe, inclusive and enjoyable environment where young people can stay active, make friends and create lasting memories during the school holidays. We're looking forward to welcoming even more families over the coming weeks.”

With places still available throughout August, Solihull Moors Foundation is encouraging parents and carers to book early to avoid disappointment.
