Solihull Moors Football Club and the Moors Foundation spread festive cheer at Birmingham Children’s Hospital - helping to distribute and deliver Christmas presents to children across the hospital’s wards.

A group from the club and foundation, including Eddie Turner, Joe Butler, Scott Langford, Kate Willetts and players Conor Wilkinson, Jamey Osborne and Jake Wakeling, spent the afternoon loading and transporting large crates of presents throughout the hospital to ensure every child has something special to wake up to on Christmas Day.

The visit formed part of the club’s ongoing commitment to supporting local communities and charities.

Joe Butler, community operations manager for the Moors Foundation, said: “It was a fantastic afternoon and a really special experience for everyone involved.

“Supporting Birmingham Children’s Hospital is something we’re incredibly proud of and days like this show the impact football clubs can have beyond the pitch.

“We’re excited about the potential for a long-term partnership and look forward to seeing where we can take this relationship in the future.”

Kate Willetts, marketing manager at Solihull Moors, added: “It was such a wholesome afternoon and one we’ll all remember.

“Seeing the smiles on everyone's faces as we delivered presents to each ward made it incredibly special.

“We left feeling like we’d genuinely done something good for the kids and the charity and we’re grateful to Birmingham Children’s Hospital for welcoming us in.”
