Solihull MP attends Visit Knowle Business Expo

Past Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce and Asian Business Chamber of Commerce President Saqib Bhatti MBE MP, Member of Parliament for Meriden and Solihull East, recently attended the Visit Knowle Expo at the Greswolde Hotel.

The Expo was organised by Visit Knowle to bring together medium and small businesses in a networking environment.

Head of Solihull Chamber of Commerce Samantha Frampton and Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce New Business manager Becky Black also exhibited at the expo.

Visit Knowle is a business led body formed in May 2019 by a group of volunteers from businesses, community groups, and residents which aims to sustain the long-term future of Knowle by helping businesses to flourish and by providing top experiences for residents and visitors.

Saqib Bhatti had his own stall at the Expo, where he spoke with businesses and constituents alike about the concerns and issues they are currently facing and how best he can support them in his role as their Member of Parliament.

Solihull is home to 8,024 businesses, with 7,965 being small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This represents a significant portion of the local economy, with Solihull being a hub for entrepreneurial activity. 

Saqib Bhatti MP said: “I was delighted to open the event with the Business Breakfast, bringing together local entrepreneurs, community leaders, and innovators to celebrate the incredible contribution of small and medium-sized businesses in our area.

“It was a pleasure to also have my own stall at the expo, where I had the chance to meet many fantastic business owners, listen to their experiences, and discuss how we can continue to support local enterprise.

“Thank you to Visit Knowle and all the organisers, exhibitors, and attendees for making this such a successful and inspiring day. I'm proud to champion our local businesses and will continue working hard to ensure they have the support they need to thrive.”

Samantha Frampton said: “It was a wonderful day at the expo, it was great to see so many Solihull businesses attending and exhibiting. A big thank you to Visit Knowle for organising such a great expo!”
