Solihull Pride returns this weekend with a summer boost

Solihull Pride returns to Solihull town centre this Saturday, 8 August, bringing a full day of celebration, entertainment and community spirit under the theme ‘Love is Love’.

Organised by Solihull BID, the event follows a successful debut in 2025 that drew thousands of visitors with a colourful parade, live performances and a busy street food market. This year's celebration is set to build on that momentum, once again filling the town centre with rainbows, music and community-led activities.

The event is headline-sponsored by npower Business Solutions (nBS), E.ON Next, and E.ON with support from Paragon Bank, Solihull College & University Centre, Muse, Touchwood and Howden.

Host Phil Oldershaw returns to lead the day's proceedings on the main stage in Mell Square, which will be complemented by entertainment, offers and safe spaces hosted by venues across the town centre.

A varied line-up of performers is confirmed for the main stage, including Fatt Butcher, Rogue Minogue, Boogaloo Babes, Pop Voices, Drag Abba, Ace and Charlie Harper.

Alongside the main stage and entertainment until late in town centre venues, the RR Events Continental Street Market will bring food, drink and stalls representing the LGBTQ+ community to the town centre.

Solihull Pride is free to attend and family-friendly, with no ticket required to watch the parade or enjoy the day's entertainment. Those wishing to take part in the Pride Parade itself can register for free via Eventbrite.

The event was developed with input from a Pride steering group of around 25 people from Solihull's LGBTQ+ community, convened by Solihull BID in early 2024.

Solihull Pride is intended to offer a welcoming space for LGBTQ+ people, allies and residents, reinforcing messages of equality and acceptance while showcasing Solihull as an inclusive destination.
