Solihull recruitment agency marks five years of supporting businesses

A Solihull recruitment agency is celebrating its fifth birthday, marking five years of helping local people find employment and supporting businesses with their recruitment needs.

The Recruitment Duo, founded by Louise Dunn and Holly Vaughan, has grown through relationships, recommendations and a highly personal approach to recruitment.

Over the past five years, the business has helped nearly 300 people into employment and worked with 49 companies, while becoming increasingly involved in Solihull’s wider business community.

The milestone gives Holly and Louise an opportunity not only to celebrate the growth of the business, but also to reflect on some of the achievements and relationships they have built along the way.

During their first five years, The Recruitment Duo has won three awards, including recognition for excellence in customer service and being named Best Recruitment Agency in Solihull by Quality Business Awards.

The founders also became the faces of a government report that highlighted the importance of women in business accessing finance, giving them the opportunity to contribute their experiences as female business owners as featured case study subjects.

The pair have also hosted six free HR and employment law seminars, bringing together local employers and professionals to share HR knowledge and best practice, discuss workplace challenges and build stronger connections.

Their next free HR and employment law seminar will take place on Wednesday 4 November, providing advice on all employment legislation changes for 2027.

The Recruitment Duo has been a Solihull Chamber of Commerce member since 2022, with the Chamber becoming an important part of the company’s development and local network. Around 25 per cent of its clients are Chamber members.

That relationship has continued to grow, with Louise now serving as vice president of the Solihull Chamber of COmmerce, allowing her to play an active role in supporting and representing the local business community.

Louise said: “Reaching five years feels like a huge milestone for us. When we look back at everything that has happened since we started The Recruitment Duo, what makes us proudest isn’t simply growing the business – it’s the people we’ve helped and the relationships we’ve built along the way.”
